What a Carve Up – Penguin Design Award

Penguin design award

My approach for this project looked at family trees and how this could be reflected as a book cover design. Looking at the work of design studio Karlssonwilker, I decided that a digitalised family tree, rather than a hand drawn family tree, would be the best solution. From the initial white background cover, I managed to tweak the design to produce six variations of the book cover.

National Trust D&AD

National Trust campaign

The idea behind my D&AD entry was to keep things simple and showcase what the National Trust has to offer, with a bit of humour. Activities, such as walking the dog or going to the pub, can easily be made part of a National Trust experience, and, with my campaign, I want visitors to share their own experience or quirky story. The campaign is aimed at 25 – 40 year olds and looks to reposition the Trust away from its perceived image.
