The giant frame of Courtney Lawes about to be tackled by Matt Stevens.

By applying my greeting cards technique I have created this image from the final of the Men’s 100m at the London 2012 Games. I found it interesting to test my art ability on humans for a change and without doubt I found the facial features the hardest to draw. The print size for this artwork is A4.
Part of my inspiration for designing cards has come from artist and filmmaker Richard Swarbrick. For those who are unfamiliar with his work follow the links below, but I can tell you that several of his football animations, for The Sun, have become viral sensations on YouTube. In some ways I prefer the single illustration images to the animated videos, as they capture some fantastic sporting moments.

This handmade concertina is based on a 1940s concertina made in East Germany. The two handle ends are basically hexagon shaped boxes which have got foam board on top. The concertina section has been carefully put together using piano music sheets to form six sides.
